I'll probably get my packet any day now.

Are you talking about receiving things in the mail? After about a week and change I received a voting ballot. After three weeks I received my first magazine. It took about a month for me to get my member packet.

Is that why you were hanging around the post office so much? Waiting to get your commission checks?

Sorry for the delayed update. I did receive in the mail the other day a notification of a "gift membership" from Justin. So I'm good and will await other items to trickle in. Thanks again everybody.

Email a pic of your life member card here for NRA icon: nra@ar15.com, include your username, and we'll get you upgraded!

(So I remember how to do it when the card arrives.)

So, how long does it take to get the new card in the mail? I went life way back in late March it's been at least 6 weeks now. The website even shows my account as Life....but, nothing in the mail....?? (I got the 'Received a Gift' flyer a couple weeks ago...)

Timeframe is probably between 4 and 6 weeks, seems to be the average.

You can always call the NRA and they can give you your number over the phone and help set you up with a log-in.

Ditto for me. I signed up on 04/03. After a month I got my 'Received a Gift' flyer, but have yet to receive a packet. I was an upgrade from an annual member, and my status on the website says Life now, so that's all good. If I try the nra-2012 link, however, I still get options to renew or upgrade myself to Life though.

please send me an IM with the LIFE membership offer.

Is there an option to pay it off in installments?

I called 1-877-NRA-2000 so I could get one of the forms (the same one in the OP) and the woman on the phone said that all the person getting the membership needed was my member number. Then that person would call 1-877-NRA-2000 and say they want the $300 Life membership deal and give them my number.

I repeated what she said and asked if that was correct. She stated it was. To my knowledge my friend (boss) has not called, but if he ever does and updates me I will update my post.

I haven't read much of this thread other than the OP, so my apologies if this has already been covered.

Recieved my packet today. It's dated April 4th, so it must just take a while to get the info and stuff through the system.

Anyway, Yay, and now my pic of my new Lifer card is on it's way to arf so that I can get my little eagle head!

Well, Thank you very much, MJ

I used the info you sent me at the https://www.nra-2012.org/ link

used my CC, and was processed in less than 3 minutes.

Now all I need to do is figure out how to reconcile my previous member number with the new one so I don't get twice as much junk mail, and I am GTG.

Appreciate this very much, and your info has been deleted.

I just signed up my parents for life memberships.

I'm taking my mom to a concealed weapons class this afternoon so she can obtain her Utah permit. (parents live in Illinois)

EDIT: Talked my dad into taking the class too.

Their permit applications are in the mail to Utah.
