Well thanks to you guys... I now own 5 of them.
I ran out to my local wally world and found them on the shelf @ $39.86, so I only grabbed two of them. When the guy rang them up, they popped up still @ $30ea... so I told him I'd take them all and to ring me up for all 5. 5 cases fit nicely standing up in a shopping cart FWIW. 
This was just 30 minutes ago. If you guys hurry, you might still see them for $30. |

Just picked up 4 from the local store. All they had. I called and they checked inventory, put them aside for me.

I went to a second store after work and there was one lonely case in a cart next to the sports counter. It had other Black Friday only items in it like the nicer pellet guns they had.
I looked around to find a person to ask if this lone survivor was for sale or if the cart was off limits. After 10 minutes of nobody showing up, I took it as a sign and headed for the front with my new case. It's a damn nice case for $30. |

Sam's Club bought a few million dollars worth of them, and then ended up selling them for only a buck or two over their cost (about $179 initially if I remember correctly). When they didn't sell as quickly as expected they slashed the price, which really fucked up Starlight's brand name and dealer network. At one point a bunch of people were selling them on Ebay, and Starlight was trying to buy them up at the seller's asking price, and then having the sellers donate them to local PDs. |

I've been to half a dozen Wallyworlds in KS and can't find an SOG tomahawk to same my life. Same with M855 ammo and Bushy carbines. |

There are still a couple machetes. I was told by a Walmart employee (FWIW) that "city" Walmarts do not get guns or certain gun related items.

Bought one today. Great quality for the price, but the only gun I needed it for was a bit too big. Damn my habit in buying long barreled monster guns...
I took it back, otherwise it would just be wasted, and maybe someone else who will use it will buy it. I have some similar cases and that was a screaming deal, for sure. |
