Me too, I just can't decide if I want a 10/22 or a mag fed bolt action like a savage.

note:  shooting time was over when the beers came out

A couple mods I've done:
Bolt buffer

VQ hammer= the best $30 spent on it and perhaps, evar...

bolt release mod.
The new bx-25 mags are a dream come true.  When I first saw the new mags at the store I almost grabbed a couple and walked out without paying.  I felt so entitled to that new mag.  It is really all I ever wanted for that little carbine.  10/22 was my first gun.  I have since bought a .38 and nothing else

I know, get both, but I don't really need more than one plinker. I do need something to shoot all this .22 ammo I've accumulated

Currently I have two.

ETA:
Here's a five shot group at 50 yards from today with Wolf MT.  I'd been CCI so the POI was lower with the Wolf but I've found my new ammo for this one.

Group measured approx. 7/16" at the widest point.  I was also shooting of the side of a truck and not off a solid rest. I'm happy with this one.

This one I have less than $150 invested.

I'll play.  I shoot this rifle more than any other I own.

Wrong again. You need something to justify getting even more .22lr ammo.

Way too many mods to list- so accurate it's like cheating––-bounce 12 gauge shells around at 100 yards just for fun!

Both, but I went with a Marlin in 22MAG for my mag fed bolt action.

Whichever way you go, 22s are cheap enough in general that ya oughta have a few.

I have both and would probally go 10/22 first. The savage is great except for the design on the 10 rd mag. It likes to stick out and poke you right in the wrist. The 10/22 mag design is far superior.

This is why I despise the NFA so much.  I would spend hundreds of dollars building guns like this, if only I didn't have to go through the punishment of the NFA process.

I work at one of the first Mueller dealers sold them for years

compared to their price peers , their durability , clarity and repeatability they are pretty nice

on par with other optics that cost a good 50% more
