That guy is a douchebag.  Who cares about what color the customer wants her gun?  Her money is green, therefore, her gun should be any color she desires - with no berating of the person who sold it to her.

and would turning down the barrel be that big of a deal considering they'd then be putting it into a thick brass sleeve?

well at least they acknowledged the lack of a rear sight on the AR pistol

and once again I can't stand the haggling on this show

and the seller shouldn't have dropped $15000 on his first reduction, should have gone to $65k not 60
especially since if he's a long time customer he knows how much the dealer guy over charges in his shop

50,000 and a $200 knife when he was going to stand firm on 60,000?

I just did a google search on damascus steel, since I had heard the term but couldn't remember exactly what it meant, and found a bunch of damascus bowie knives for sale in the $100-200 range so I doubt that knife was antigue, probably just one of these newly made cheap ones

I bet he pitched a serious bitch to the get that scene chopped up, you could tell there was alot of editing around that point. I for one, wanted to see that fake tittied, fat lipped, cum dumpster, try to clear the jam.

Modern so called damascus is pattern welded steel thats folded. The real method of making damascus steel was lost.

If its an original iranian watered steel blade its worth alot.

This guy's negotiating tactics are swarmy, offering 10oz of silver ($400) and drop the price $5k on a BAR? I really hope its all staged, or he's ripping everyone off. 40k counteroffer to a 75k initial bid, or 5k for a BAR?

His wife is the only good businessman of the bunch, who cares what color a customer wants their pistol? You're raping them on the price already, take your money and laugh at them once they leave the shop.

I couldn't believe what a total dick that guy was to his wife about selling the pink 1911. Show b/s aside, sold the lady a gun she wanted, got her to take a general firearm safety course... was alot better than SOG turning them away empty handed. That "argument" was drama made up for TV. The gunsmith teasing was scripted as well.

Their acting (or lack there of) is worse than some of the BS story lines they make up for "reality" TV drama.

If they stick with the custom gun stories and keep out the made up BS I think this show has a winning recipe. I would have rather seen 2 more minutes of the duracoating process instead of 2 minutes of poorly acted indignation over finishing a gun in pink. Probably won't sell a show to the masses that way though.

Agreed. Maybe it is just because I am the type of person who doesn't want to be portrayed incorrectly to the general public?  My thoughts would have been "No, lets skip that part and show more of the painting of the gun and the firearm safety course" But I guess when you're Mr. Asshole with a Bell Jet Ranger, you don't care so much...

It's a great show. Positive gun message. It's entertaining. I LOL'd a few times. Yeah it's scripted. I don't watch it for the training aspect of it. It's a gun orientated show on mainstream TV during prime time. Our gun culture has come along way and I think it's great.

Im reading on a Colorado gun forum that the owner charged a woman for a gun before running a ncis check. When she didn't pass, he refused to refund her and offered to put the gun on consignment and keeping 20%.

I'm no lawyer- but that sounds illegal. If not, then HIGHLY unethical. How can he accept funds if he doesn't have a background check completed? Isn't that in itself a violation of law?

I just happened to think about buying guns when I lived in Virginia. At the time I was into Cowboy Action Shooting and wanted to buy sequentially numbered revolvers... The Commonwealth of Virginia, then, only allowed 1 gun purchase per month, however, I bought both guns at the same time. However, I was only allowed to complete the 4473 and take possession of one at a time and wait another 30 days to fill out the 4473 to obtain the second gun.

I bought both guns, I owned both guns, but they would only let me take possession of one at a time with a 30 day wait to take possession of the second one.

Right- however, you "prepaid" for firearm # 2 KNOWING that you just passed the check on firearm #1 correct?

I'm assuming you didn't hand the gun counter guy $X,000 and cross your fingers hoping for the best. You basically did a lay away, but paid 100% up front.

I'm just saying if what he did is LEGAL- then fine, but it's still pretty dishonest and unethical.
Actually, the 2 sequentially numbered guns was a special order, I paid for both upfront, took possession of one when they came in and waited 30 days for the other. (I paid a little bit of a premium for sequentially serial numbered, but not a ridiculous amount.) They did let me shoot the second one while I waited the 30 days, they have an indoor range.

So, had I not passed for the second gun, I don't know what would have happened. They would have had the other gun in used condition.

Is it me or did anybody else think it was Porn Actrees Anjelica Sinn buying the pink 1911. Looks like even the wife seemed some what attracted to her, I didn't see any Savorski crystals on the 1911 like she asked for. So what she if she wanted it pink, kudos for her on selecting a 1911 single action and not a polymer or 9mm. She looked like she had shot before though.
