seen the paperwork today, not alot of details specs/price yet but the pic looked to be a superlight/patrolmans carbine.
so far were only slated to get one mid Oct. then most likely see how it goes.
this is an AZ store

breaking news
found out the retail today its going to be $944.00 and its the patrol carbine and comes with a 30rd mag(i was surprised by this)but we have a sporting goods mgr that's interested in firearms and is going to try and order a couple of magazines(going to see what else we can get) from one of our suppliers along with some more q3131 and Fed 223,kind of cool to have someone excited about it for a change the old lady that had it before made up her own rules/regs/laws total asshat

Interesting. There have been reports of people seeing the camo remington ARs, but if this were an actual black rifle that would be the first I have heard of it.

It will fit right in with the Maverick shotguns and Ruger Mini-30s.

I rarely go to Walmart, and when I do its for ammo. As I was leaving yesterday, they had a big flyer in the entrance/exit area advertising guns and hunting supplies. Had the Mini-14 in there listed as on sale along with other bolt guns. I was a little suprised, and they did have them in stock.

This was in Orlando.

plastic hammers and BCGs.

it's the only way BM could sell them at the price Walmart offered in exchange for a big order.

I live in a rural section of Florida and the local Wal Marts not only don't carry firearms, but they now charge just about the same price for ammunition as the local gun store where I go to shoot.

Which is why I never go into any of them anymore.

I was shock too see the Wal-Mart in Cody WY having reloading stuff.   Not a lot, but some powders, and mostly RCBS stuff, but was nice to see.

Prediction: The hoplophobes and their liberal fellow travellers are going to go apeshit and protest.

Another prediction: No one will give a shit about their "protest."

I love my Norinco CQ-311 (A1 Copy). It's light, accurate and it eats everything.

It's crazy how times change.  They were yanking guns and ammo off the shelves a few years ago.  The ones around here still haven't started selling guns again.

I don't know about anyone else here, but Wal-Marts around here have always carried Minis and reloading supplies (except maybe the ones in SLC).

I know of a few Wal-Marts in VA that have large gun sections stocked with not only lots of guns and ammo, but a lot of reloading supplies. Powder, shell holders, reamers, etc. The ones in my area used to have guns but have only had ammo for the past 5 years now. Better than nothing IMO.

They shut down the factory in Maine and moved production to the Remington factory in New York. Former Bushmaster people reopened the factory in Maine and are producing their own ARs now.

The Mini-14 Ranch Rifle with 5 round magazine has been sold by Wal Mart for years.

I believe Wal Mart still sells AR type rifles in Alaska but that is it.

Owned by Remington now.  That probably explains why the BMs are being introduced along with the R-15.

Not sure if our local Wal-Mart is selling black rifles, because I haven't been inside it for a while.  I guess I will have to go and check.

I bought one gun at Walmart and that was plenty for me.  I had to fill out the BATFE form 4 or 5 times because the retard behind the counter kept entering the wrong serial number or something.  He kept going back to the back to "get the box" and then he'd come back and say I had to redo the form because he had written down the wrong serial number.  Then when he finally had it right he found out that box had "missing pieces" and we had to start over.  An hour later he finally gets it right and gets a manager to carry the box outside for me.  Then as I'm leaving the parking lot an uninsured illegal alien backs into the side of my car!  My $500 gun turned into a $1000 gun after paying my deductible and a week of a rental car.

This is a major problem with a high speed high volume retailer like WalMart.    The BATF paper work, weapon accounting, and approval turn-around should be computerized and streamlined so the WalMart gun counter can move merchandise.

I wonder if they will try to sell you the "extended warranty" on it at the register when you are checking out.

Sales girl: "Would you like to buy the extended warranty on this?  You know, in case the gas key staking backs out or something?"
