I've only seen the revised version once or twice, and I was only half paying attention. I don't think I noticed that before. I agree, it was a lot better without it.
What really blew me away was replacing Anakin's ghost with the young douche. Someone made some remark about that once, and I honestly thought they were joking. When I saw it on TV, I could hardly believe it. |

ROTJ will get CGI Ewok eyes, which is probably an homage to the CGI Ewoks in Raiders of the Lost Ark Special Edition...

It was a fucked up ending to begin with. So Luke can use the force to defy gravity and levitate, and Vader can also levitate, but the Emperor, the most powerful master of the dark side of the force, is nothing more than sack of laundry thrown down a chute. Lame. |

That doesn't bother me too much - it actually works with the scene.
Greedo getting a shot off, though... that is unforgivable. |

At the risk of inviting a shitstorm, I thought that entire movie was a cluster fuck. Any and all versions. Hearing Chewbacca do a Tarzan yell sealed the deal for me. I was ready to walk out of the theater by that time. And I waited in line for HOURS to get in. I was in the tenth grade, so I was psyched to get to see the final episode of the best trilogy ever put on film (and I do still love New Hope and Empire).
What a fucking disappointment. I have been pissed at Lucas ever since. And don't even get me started about motherfucking Jar-Jar. |

Somebody brought this up in the past. In the scene in Star Wars when Luke and Uncle Owen were buying the droids off of the Jawa, was there ever a version where an antenna of sort came out of R2D2 that zapped the red unit?
I can almost swear that I recall seeing that on film. |

This is just plain idiotic. The lightsaber that Obi-Wan gives Luke is Anikin's old lightsaber. Which is BLUE. Luke builds the green lightsaber after he loses Anakin's when his hand gets chopped off by Vader. I could understand Lucas going back to intensify the blue, because the lightsabers in the first movie are so washed out they look almost white. But green just completely ignores the movie's own history. God I fucking hate Lucas. |
