Ther Army/USMC cologne thread got me thinking...

I really need something for school starting on Saturday, and I adore the smell of 100LL... Anyone have any recommendations?

Well, the smell of GA aircraft cabins brings back loads of great memories for me, but I dunno if I'd go so far as to get a cologne that smells like the stuff.

There's nothing like the smell of a fabric covered airplane with wood floor boards and an A-65 engine fueled with 80 octane gas.  That should be bottled.

100 LL never did much for me.

In college a surefire method of weeding out my roomates was to clean guns in the living room.
If they had any issues with Hoppes #9 then I knew they were gay or something.

Real mean like the smell of bourbon, JETA, a nice cigar, and 100 LL.

And there is a distinct smell of a new airplane.   I'm not sure if it's the leather mixed with Corrosion X that does it or something else.

It works 0% of the time... all the time.

Unless you're picking up dudes, that is.

Hoppes smells ok, but leaves me with a headache after limited exposure.

100LL is pretty damn good, the best benefit is any girl that recognizes what it is is probably worth keeping around.

One thing better than 100LL though, that is burned methanol and nitro methane.

If someone else can smell your cologne, you are wearing TOO MUCH FUCKING COLOGNE!!!

That said, this is the modern age...Cologne DOES NOT replace a shower!!!

100ll smell disappears too fast. Use Jet-A, that'll last all day AND moisturize.

well i admit i do like the smell of airplane glue and sawdust but ... not as a turn-me-on kind of scent.  that smell just makes me think of Daddy in the basement working on his model airplanes.

and to be honest.... jet fuel wouldn't turn me on either.  it would just remind me of the time that my ship was retarded and managed to get JP5 into the potable water.  that shit tastes NASTY.  and the filters didn't clean it out.

but hey if your girl likes the smell of fuel... wear it.  just don't light any candles or go for a smoke
