When I was stationed on the east coast in 2005, the family and I go to Onslow beach on base for a couple of hours-late July IIRC. We park the POV by SNCO parking (which is a LOT less crowded than the junior enlisted section-although there's more to see there) and start walking toward the South Tower (now gone) past the pier. On the other side of the pier, people and families were getting fewer and fewer. As we're walking, my then 14 year old says "hay dad, look at that". I look over to my right where his beady little eyes are looking and there in all her glory was a drop-dead gorgeous dependent with a minimal black thong laying on her stomach, propped up on her elbows, with her beautiful boobs swinging and jiggling like jello, her skin as smooth as buttered copper. DAMN!!!

Of course, since then, some fucking cow probably complained to MWR or otherwise made an issue out of it after too many thongs were seen, and thongs and toplessness I suppose are now forbidden from what I understand. Too bad because Marines bring along some pretty choice cuts to that place. Oh well, there's always other beaches....

As pointed out by others, it was not his house, his party, and he did not obtain consent before doing the full nudity routine in front of a mixed group of strangers.

I would have thrown his ass out.

There is a time and a place for everything.

It appears, from the reaction that he generated, that it was neither the time, nor the place.

I was at the beach tin RI he other day, and I started wondering about moobs and boobs. I saw a dude with big ol' c cups walking around topless, and a girl with ABSOULTELY NOTHING up top walking around with a bikini top on. Why can he display his but she would go to jail if she showed hers? Because he has a penis and she doesn't? WTF sense does that make? Honestly, there was nothing about his moobs that was different than a girl's boobs.

we have a prosecutorial big game hunt nationwide. everyone is "in season." if you give a small time prosecutor enough ammunitino to shoot at you, don't come back here and complain "hey guys, you said there was nothing wrong wtih it!"

You felt it was so inappropriate you came on here to ask about it.

so some questions -
if you felt it was inappropriate, why did you hit the record button?
why did you view it and show it to others?
why did you keep it on the tape to be viewed in court today?
why didn't you complain to the lifeguard/local law enforcement at the time?

When we were 8, my neighbor and I were playing in a kiddie pool. Neither of us had tops on. Some prude called the cops and told them "There's a girl playing topless in the front yard of my neighbor's house." I can't remember EVER seeing that many cop cars before or since.

In our culture today it's not necessarily appropriate, no arguing that. But nudity is not inherently morally wrong in and of itself.

If the host of a party I'm invited asks me to refrain from a particular activity, I will, or I'll leave.

What about her hands. Is that crazy weird? Sick? What about her hair? In Jordan, Oman, or Iran, you wear a head scarf. It's a matter of not letting every sicko around see your wife or daughter's hair.

Legs? Are those to be hidden from public view? Myself I find a shapely pair of women's legs to be incredibly sexy. And in ultra-conservative societies (the mid-east), by law a woman cannot show her legs in public. It's a matter of not letting every sicko around see your wife or daughter's legs.

Ideas like this are why I feel women should either be allowed to be topless in public or men should not. Women get just as turned on by the sight of the right mans chest as men do by a nice set of breasts. Men go outside shirtless because it tends to be more comfortable in certain weather, not to turn women on. Women OTOH are stuck with a shirt and(usually) a bra. They don't get to cool off like we do.
