Secret Passages: The Cold War scheduled to air Sunday 11:00 a.m. History International Channel (Comcast channel 116). IIRC this is the episode that contains the story of the Kenley Snyder bunker in Blaine, Washington.

Just hope my memory is correct. Getting something like that wrong here on Afcom could be a serious offense! Regrettably, I have mostly bedrock under my house and blasting would not go unnoticed in my neighborhood.

This place was for sale a few years ago, pretty reasonable price too iirc.

I'd like to know how he poured the concrete underground. He must have built the forms and then shoveled it or poured it in, section at a time.

I'd guess that he brought in bags of mix and then mixed it where he needed it. Don't recall if program gets into that. I'm tempted to try and find the "How to" info he apparently had for sale at one time.

Did the guy know anything about underground construction? How could you trust that the damned thing wouldn't just collapse?

Go to the links in the post above yours. That thing may last for centuries.
