Updates?? Biggest update is that we sourced, bought, transported and installed the new front axle (no small task in Poland) in time to make the most grueling day of the course. During this day we made up some serious time coming in 4th and 1st in two of the stages! We still have a long way to go to catch up on the day lost to the axle but we are still solidly in the race and expect to finish. fuckin-A! |

We finished the race successfully, coming in 11th in our weight class.
The day lost to the axle cost us about 5 or so places, but we are happy we finished intact and with no safety incidents (other than the almost squished photographer). We had a film crew and about 5 cameras on the truck during the race. We won't see the footage till they get back but they say it is wild. Interested in sponsoring a Bombardier Iltis 1.8l Turbo Diesel in the 2012 Pikes Peak Hillclimb? I want to replicate the VW Iltis entered in the 1980Paris-Dakar Rally:
 Instead of the VWs on the grill, attach a BFL on left side and MagPul on right side. I'm still trying to figure out the safety equipment, install of the racing tank, etc. |

Here is Bam Bam crossing the finish line in Dresden...
For those interested we made a limited run of 1000, extra large, commemorative posters and had Jay (the driver and builder of the MOG) sign them this week.
