I know someone who worked security on the set of a movie Drew Barrymore was in (I forget which one) and he said that without her make up she looked pretty bad.

Those sorts of pictures for comparison almost always are taken when the person in question is making an odd or bad facial expression. It would be a much better comparison in the same lighting and with the same expression.

It amazes me how the MSM always props up how beautiful these women are... but the reality is some of these women might barely rate a 6 if they were caught without make up.

I've dated girls who were likely much better looking, and to my knowledge, they didn't wear excessive makeup.

Angelina Jolie. Never saw it. There were times when she looked passable, but it must have been favorable lighting. Not my cup of tea at all.

Maggie Gyllenhall (however you spell it). I swear everytime I saw her in either "The Dark Knight" or "Stranger Than Fiction" (both great movies) I thought she had a piggy face and it took me right out of the movie. She must have had her brother sleep with the studio executives to get her those jobs. She is horrible to look at and not a good actress to boot.
