THE IMAGE ABOVE IS A PAID ADVERTISEMENT I attempted a bulk upload last night and it didn't....bulk upload. I'm processing the extreme rigs in the next few hours. Jim I attended the Chile Challenge 4X4 trail run sponsored by the Las Cruces, NM 4WD Club and thought I'd post some pics. This club has sponsored the Challenge for fifteen years and offer everything from mild to wild. While I've owned 4X4s for a long time, I haven't done an organized trail run since 1979. My intent was to do some recon and put forth a better effort next year and perhaps field a more capable machine in 2012. Anyway, I stayed on the easy trails and took a lot of pics. Tomorrow, I plan on watching the extreme machines tackle some insane obstacles. Pics to follow. [ Unlimited machines lining up for a trail run Toy with 22R engine negotated this more smoothly than following vehicles, most couldn't do it and had to go around. Sweet FJ40 with Chev V8 that developed a radiator leak and went back to the pits before we launched. Very well prepared/sano TJ with narrow TSL Super Swampers Another nice TJ 1966 Scout negotiating a difficult piece, even though it doesn't look like it in this pic. This was box stock with a spring over lift. It was great seeing it out on the trail and that crew had a blast. When I reviewed this pic, it reminded me of the pics I'd see in 4X4 mags I used to read in 1970, just before I learned to drive. Weathered FJ40. It had a skull and crossbones on the hood/nice touch Aluminum bodied TJ with an aluminum V8 and Dana 60's. This was a street legal beast. Nice TJ and JK moving through our stick. A fine example of an extreme machine. I should have many pics of these guys in action tomorrow. I have no idea what these guys hauled to the run as it was empty when I passed by. This was in the pits. I'm guessing they brought something very capable. Organ Mountains and Las Cruces in the background. |

I've posted pics here since 1998. I don't know what's up, especially since they're showing up for me in this thread. It's frustrating. JIm |

I've done some of the harder trails at the Chile challenge in my Grand Cherokee, don't like running the trails when there are that many people though. I live 40 miles south of that area so I can get up there when there aren't any people on the trails an run them at my pace, not have to wait for anybody. Hope you get the pics posted.

Was hoping to see pics of all the rigs I saw parked around Las Cruces. This one had a kick ass weapon mount on the roof, but all I got was this crappy cell pic.
