First of all what is the materal made of? Rit doesn't work on Nylon or Polyester very well. you would be better off using an Acid Dye like Jacquard or Dharma Trading. Also Washing Machine doesn't get hot enough to set dye very well, boiling does better or "setting" dye in oven both messy.
