I use the word "fortnightly" on a regular basis because of that film. Great movie.

No, it's the Scottish humor ... I know ... because I used to be Scottish until I became an American a year ago!!

Mike Myers spent a lot of time in the UK and totally 'gets' the Scottish humor. I do love that film. And of course Nancy Travis was/is hot as hell which helps.

My mom is a Scot (from Peterhead). One of the things my wife and I love about this movie is how spot on the mom is.

My mom even reads 'the papers'... classic.

"Alright, we 'ave a Piper who's doon. It's alright, he's just pissed..."
