Modernized Enfields from India have 12 round mags and are in 7.62x51. Called "Ishapores" after the arsenal.
|
|
Drop a Remington 700 PSS into an AICS chassis. They sell 10 round magazines for those.
ETA: Or just buy an AICS in .338LM. |

Are there any bolt action guns that come with 10+ round mags in .308 cal? The only one I'm aware of is this: 7.62x51mm AIA M10 B1 Sport Australian International Arms M10 rifle in 7.62x51mm NATO (.308 Win) with Monte Carlo stock, 559mm std. profile chrome-lined free-floating barrel, etc. Includes sight tool and ten round magazine. http://img177.imageshack.us/img177/8206/m10b1xl.jpg Being an Enfield person, I like that. |

Quite a few Enfield variants- as mentioned, the commonly found Ishapore 2A/2A1 riles, plus the much rarer L39A1, L42A1, Enfield Envoy, and Enfield Enforcer rifles.

Large caliber?
No. In the world of bolt action rifles and cartridges, 30 cal is the bottom of the medium category. Medium caliber? Yes, you can find some .308s out there with extended magazines. Large calibers start at .40 in bolt action rifles. .404 Jeffery, the 416s, .458 Winchester............. |
|
Why do you need one of those evil high capacity magazines on your high powered baby killing machine... OF DEATH?
Next youre going to ask about the shoulder thing that goes up. |

In .308? Many Enfield variants, plenty of which are available in .308. Accuracy International make a 10 round .338 rifle, as well as the standard .308 rifles. |

somebody makes one that uses m-14/m1a mags
I cant recall who |
|
Robar used to make a 700 that could take M-14 mags.
Australian International Arms needs to license a US manufacturerer to make those new Enfields here in the US. Best, JBR |

Quoted: Steyr SSG PII .308 You beat me to it. I have to say, those Steyr 10 rounders suck. The 5 rounders aren't much better in the durability dept. . |

I have seen 10-round mags for the Browning BAR in 30-06. I don't know where the guy got it or how reliable it was. I'd imagine you could get a similar mag for a Browning bolt action. I'm pretty certain that the BLR and BAR share mags, so if a lever gun might work for you... ETA - I'm talking about the modern hunting rifle, not the original |

I have an Ishapore Enfield in .308.. some bubba put a sporterized stock on it but it's still a nice shooting rifle, fun with iron sights and the removable mag... I need to find a nice stock to drop it into.

There are several conversion kits out there to put on bolt action rifles so that you can use M14 or AI mags.

Except, the action is sloppy IMO and the price of the mags went stoopid over the last 2-3 years. Glad I got mine early. |

There are numerous choices for DBM systems for any of the popular bolt action rifles. Just a few are Badger, Surgeon, CDI, and Seekins.

I had an Ishapore 2A that had a detachable 10 round mag. It was heavy and kicked like a mule.

Don't have a clue who is selling them. I always wanted one too, they have a barrel nut like a Savage so theorectically you could rebarrel it to any cartridge related to the .308 like a .260 or .243. |

Here's a thread from the FAL Files. A couple good folks did a breakdown of their rifles, some of the few in 7.62x39 that were imported by Tristar.
