good read, i carry a Fenix LD10 everyday and i love the light for a lot of reasons but not primiarily because it has a strobe, thats just a cool factor for me.

thanks for the article.

I have a Stinger and PT1L that both have a strobe function.

I have always thought of it as a "signal type" thing or something to try and induce epilepsy in the dogs with.

Thanks for the informative article.


BTW, I believe that surge of strobing tac lights is the result of the surge in high output LED lights. There's already regulating circuitry in the high output LED lights, and a strobe function is another line on the features list for not a whole lot more cost.
