I just got the Vortex Strikefire in today and mounted it on my son's ar and sighted it in. I'm really impressed with it for the money. The mount seems solid enough, but if that changes, I can get a better one. the dot is clear and easily visible in the Carolina sun in red or green, though the green is better in the sun in my opinion.
