Let me know what settings you have for your search. I've tried a few things and they worked.
The archives continue to grow each year at a faster rate, so that server definitely will need some love, possibly migrate into a pair of servers versus a single beast. |

I can't remember exactly what I was searching for when I created this thread, but I think it actually had something to do with bacon.
Anyway, something else that I do remember (and just checked again) is doing an archive search for threads that I've replied in in the last year. So, in the "Author name" field I select "find post replies by user" in the drop down menu and then enter my user name in the box. Dates are from 5/11/2011 to 5/11/2012. And then I select the General Community for the forum. Then when I click on the "search" button, it's no bueno. No results. 500 error message. |

I'm also getting an error, every time I try to search the Archives:
The page cannot be displayed because an internal server error has occurred. Doesn't seem to matter what search criteria I try, or how far back. |

I get it a lot too. Seems to be when I'm searching a larger criteria, either larger date range or all of the forums. If I narrow the search it works fine.

I've got logs running and I think enough info to put in a fix. It's a performance issue, so was difficult to debug. Really needs new hardware, which is on the list for this year.
I'll keep you guys posted, working on fix and hope to have it done this week. |

I got a couple issues cleared up and am still running logs on this to help me streamline some of the timeouts still taking place. Definitely needs upgraded back end server.
