I have noticed that when uploading a avatar image the quality of them is pretty bad.

I can upload the image below that is only 21.5kb:




Then when I check it after the site gets a hold of it, this is the result @ 18.9kb:




For such a tiny change in size that's a huge quality difference.


ETA: My suggestion can we get better retention?
