When a item is marked closed or sold in the EE, can we have the thread titles appended with "CLOSED:" and "SOLD:" respectively? This would help when searching the EE so you don't waste time figuring out what is still available and what isn't. Should be something fairly simple to implement.
Thanks!

The only issue I can see with implementing this is that thread titles are fixed length, so prefixing this may take it over the fixed number of characters, unless you can do it in such a way that it can override the max number....but I don't know how the database is setup to handle that.

Don't they eventually get a red out line when you mark it closed or sold in the "my ee listings" page?

They do, but only you can see it in the my EE listings page. The red block is inside the post as well, requiring you to click on it to find it. This would be something EVERYONE could see, while in search results.

When I go to the EE, all sold/closed posts are red in the list.

For example - here was page 3 of the used optics

Which isn't in search results.

Definitely not in the search results. I go through that all the time. Especially if you make the time frame longer than 24 hours.

I usually mark my sold ads as such, but most don't.

I have faith in the mighty Bovidae....
A simple jaunt through EE and he will see. I predict a fix next round of coding.

I've been spending a little less time on EE due to the same frusteration.

I guess I dont get why some are red and easy to see closed, others look like the item is still for sale...until you open the damn thread.
Annoying is an understatement.

green icon - for sale

yellow icon - pending

red icon - sold

just a small dot the size of emoji to the left of thread title would work well.

or even inside the yellow/gray folder icon.

Or having sold threads automatically archive so they don't show up in the normal view would be nice as well. No sense in cluttering up all the active ads.

maybe move the Open to top, then pending, then closed?

This. Sometimes it's nice to easily see recently sold stuff when pricing something to sell.
