I want to add just my state to my Active Topics page, not the whole Hometown Forum. I don't go in there as often as I should, and would like to see when new topics pop up. But if I add the whole Hometown Forum the posts from my state get drowned put.

Go the hometown forum and find your state. Then click on the green plus sign and it will add it to "your board". Your board is in the colored line where the active topics button is.

ETA: Don't think you can put the board in your active topics page. Unless you subscribe to a thread.
