ive read arfcom threads for years, but it was the ham radio subforum that got me to actually sign up

I needed a rotor control box. I had to go to QTH.com, to find one, and then find out the seller was an arfcommer.

Sheesh....all of that could have been avoided if we had a ham section in the EE.

Perhaps it could be called:

Electronics - Radio Communications

Radio Communications Equipment and Accessories

I am thinking this would cover all forms of legal radio communications.

If that is to narrow of a category:

Electronics - Wireless Communications

Radio, Phone, and Other Wireless Communication Equipment and Accessories

would be a compromise as it isn't completely radio related, but would give the forum more traffic

How about just "Electronics - Communications".

I really would prefer a section specific to radios. Each posting could be labeled (via radio button when posting) what radio service it's for (e.g. ham/ARS, GMRS, MURS, commercial, etc.)

I don't envision much trading going on in cell phones, the things are made to die after 2 years so you HAVE to buy another new one.

I've been holding back a Kenwood TM-261 I want to sell, but I'm about to just post it some place else
