THE IMAGE ABOVE IS A PAID ADVERTISEMENT I'm sure you all see them. Old man has bomb shelter under front porch Found a safe, wonder what's in it (DAY ONE! at least came from that) ANOTHER active safe thread Buried gun by railroad tracks Strange bag in front yard I believe that the repercussion of not delivering in a "Suspense" thread after around 5 pages, is that the thread should either be locked, OR even better; Moved to the Pit!!! That way the OP can be told exactly what people think of their shenanigans (within the CoC of course). |

Great idea, but instead of a page limit, why not a time limit? That way ten pages of people posting "in before _____" won't kick it to the pit.

I'd say that starting a thread like that and not getting the thing open in a reasonable amount of time (obviously a plastic bag takes less time to open than a safe) should be cause for a one-week lock, as well as being taken as prima facie evidence that the thread starter loves the cock.

Force the poster to state their own time limitations in the title of their thread. That way I can decide if the thread is worthy before even clicking on it and it doesn't cause site staff/mods to get in a battle about how long is long enough to wait.
ie. "Found $10 safe at yard sale, it has something heavy inside. This will be resolved in 4 days, one way or another" Personal accountability beats draconian enforcement. But if they don't meet their deadline, then the thread is moved to the pit for a vote on banning and a chance for the OP to explain his/her side. |

I concur. Threads like that shouldn't be started until they had it open in the first place. If someone started a legitimate "How do I open this safe" thread, it'd probably belong in the Safes forum anyway.... |

Hardly anyone on this site knows what actual trolling is though, most people think a disagreement is "Trolling". The shit is about as entertaining as rick rolling. Plus, the point of my post is not to "Get my panties in a wad" it's to move these stupid threads to the Pit so people can vent to the OP's of them for being abject failures in life. |

I agree there should be something on the line, and like the idea of the OP having to bid against a week lock (I.E. Col. Panics idea), or some other form of light punishment. And of course, if they fail to deliver, they love the CoC. |

One poster is so upset over one these threads, they started a pit thread over it.
NorCalLeo's response was, " If you don't recognize those type of threads for what they are, you might want to avoid hanging out in General Discussion for awhile." Try doing that maybe. |

Stop. Just stop.
Unless you have something constructive to add to the thread, take it to the pit thread. Treat this as you would any tech forum thread and keep the bullshit and drama out of it. |

I disagree with NorCalLeo's ideology. The person who shold be stopped from coming to GD is the guy (or girl) starting BS troll threads. Take it to 4Chan if overwhelmed by the need to troll. |
