Can this site become a Tapatalk friendly site?

Tapatalk is the latest and greatest app for smart phones where you can browse multiple talk board sites easily. I noticed AR15.com is not registered with them. I am guessing it's the custom software?

Thanks

I'd like to see it too. TT works great on smartphones with the larger screens such as iPhones and the like, I read the hell out of the forums and am sure a lot of other guys and gals do too.

Integration with that app is probably at best a huge project, and at worst, not even possible.

Can we take up a collection? I'd chip in $30 for development, or 200 rounds of .44 special..

Tapatalk would be quite helpful.

I need this... Seems lately I hardly get on my computer (too freaking busy) but I'm constantly checking on my phone. I've been missing the ARF.

I would like to see a forum app but I despise TT, I would rather view the whole site rather than use TT.

I too was very surprised that this place isn't Tapatalk compliant. I signed up for BBQ Brethren and grabbed Tapatalk thinking that I could use it for all the forums I'm on...of course the BBQ one is the only one that works, LOL.

I use Tapatalk with a handful of gun forums... some I specifically signed up for due to it. S&W Forum, MP-Pistol, NJ Gun Forum, Eno's Forum, The Firing Line, The High Road, Ruger Forum (used to be LCP Forum), Spike's Tactical, and Surplus Rifle Forum. Some I use mainly for reference. When I'm on the computer, I usually only look up here and BerettaForum (MP-Pistol is going through a lot of maintenance, so I'm logging in on the computer periodically until they get everything squared away, including Tapatalk).

To be honest, if there were an app for here and BerettaForum, it would be a lot easier for me to visit. BerettaForum does not plan on installing Tapatalk, but did have an app in the pipeline (on backburner from what was said; they push the mobile version of the site, but if I do visit on my iPhone or iPad, I use the standard and just do what I need to). If AR15.com got an app, I'd be stoked! Just from knowing the forum software that are used on the forums I frequent with Tapatalk, AR15.com is VERY different... so I'm not surprised that Tapatalk wouldn't work. I think SIG Forum would be in a similar boat, due to the software.

With that being said, if there is a need for any help in testing on an iPhone 4 or iPad 2, I'd be willing to help out.

I'll toss in my aye too even tho I know it won't happen.

I'm pretty sure TT is essentially just a custom skin for PHP boards. Which is why this one won't ever be on TT. I just wish Goatboy had a better roadmap for making this forum more mobile device friendly.

Word has been that this site is highly customized and using TT would be difficult..

Gotcha, thats too bad, for being so customized you would think it would be better suited to a mobile device. It seems everything is mobile including tablets. Maybe someone can come up with an app that works with the current configuration.

I can work on an app but the web guys here (arfcom) would have to build me a public API to use.

I just pushed an app to the app store this morning.

Agreed, an app for tapatalk would be stellar!
