I am 6'6" built like Shrek so standard watches feel and look tiny on me. Would like to find something over 57mmif you guys can't recommend something.
This would be a daily watch I wear to work & to the range. Price would need to be under $500 unless there is something I can't live without.
Can you guys recommend a manufacturer? I found diesel but I am not over the moon for them.

The metal G-Shocks are pretty huge, maybe one of these would work.

My biggest watch is my Bulova Precisionist, at 47mm
It's huge.
It lists for $900, my kids found it for $700 on sale recently (mid-September)

I love it.

Invicta makes some huge face watches. Shop around, they can be had for huge discounts.

57mm? Who are you, Flavor Flav? That's bigger than a lot of pocket watches.

This. look into the Grand Diver, its big...nice looking watch too...

Been my everyday watch for like 8 or 9 years....I beat the crap out of it...

ETA It is listed as 49mm, but check it out, its pretty damn big...I like big watches, and 10mm bigger than the Grand Diver would be really HUGE!

I remembered Laco made a 55mm that looked really cool. I looked at it and it's a hair bit out of the price range.

Just a quick point of order...
You're looking for a large case, dial or bezel watch.
The crown is what you wind/set a watch with.

Try on something in the 45mm to 50mm range.
Unless you're Andre The Giant anything over 50mm is going to look ridiculous.
Seriously, a 50mm watch is HUGE.
I have an above average wrist at 7.5" and a 40mm is perfect for me, 45mm wears large.

Check out some of the Russian Vostok Diver watches.
Here's a selection of "Large watches".
Long Island Watch (the links above) is a reputable seller.

Start by measuring the circumference of your wrist at the location where you wear your watch.
Post that info and that'll help people get an idea of what size would be appropriate.
Even more important than the case diameter is the "lug to lug" size (basically the distance from one band springbar to the other).
A well fitting watch does NOT have the lugs extend beyond your wrist.

I have 8.5" wrists. Much larger than the average WIS, my daily is a 36mm or 40mm.

I don't understand the big watch thing.

My wrist is also 8.5", I wear a Deepsea Sea Dweller which is about 44mm. Big enough for me.

Don't waste your money on invicta.   Running 20 dollar bills through a paper shredder would be a better idea than buying a lot of their watches.

Do you want a large watch in general or do you actually want a large crown?  The crown is the thing on the side that you pull out to adjust the time, date, etc....

If you want just a large crown then check out Oris watches.  They have several "Big Crown" models.  You may need to buy used though given your budget.

If you want a larger watch I'd check out a Seiko sumo, orient m force, or an orient saturation diver.  All of which are quality watches from reputable watch manufacturers.

Steinhart also makes some larger pilot/flieger type watches at 44 and 47mm.

Also check out a Casio G Shock MTG.  It's a damn big watch.

Do you have a preference for quartz or mechanical?

Hey, say what you want about Invicta, and yeah, I know they are the Home Depot model of watches, but I have had a Grand Diver for 10 years I wear everyday at work, and doing everything else, it still works great, keeps great time, and is still ticking...it looks like hell, but its a tank...better than beating the hell out of a really good watch....

I didn't say that all of their watches were bad.  Just most.

I'd personally buy a Seiko or Orient over a Invicta any day.

Yup;  Seiko and Orient are great watches.   From the $50 variety up to the Grand Seiko's (and beyond) .     I miss my Tuna's.
