I do both actually.

I bought a kit from Keg Cowboy and it came with a 10LB tank. Well the local welding supply show wanted to take my brand new tank and exchange it. That wasn't happening. So I bought a 5LB tank that I can do a quick swap on while I wait for my 10LB to get filled.

I just got my first tanked and kegged my first batch of cider last night. I got mine filled at Austin Homebrew and will most likely continue to do so since I go there to buy yeast and other things.

I have a 30lb commercial fire extinguisher tank that I have refilled from the Airgas shop. I drop it off in the AM and pick-up the next day. It lasts a long time.
