What kind of tap handles you guys have on your keezers or kegerators? I was debating on the dry erase handles but think I will make a small chalk board for the front panel of the door instead.

I thought this one would look nice on it as well.

Currently I've just got one tap handle, and it's made of green marble. I picked it up on ebay for about $15.

But I just bought some tap handle inserts, so I'm going to make my own. I'm thinking I'll carve my own this winter.

This would be pretty sick...

10%+ ABV gets a 20mm, green for IPA, black for stout, etc.

6-10% gets a .50 cal

< 6% gets a .30 cal

I like that idea. First one to market it gets my money.

Regarding chalkboard tap handles, I've seen a lot of breweries do this. Typically they'll use slats from a bourbon barrel and paint the inside with chalkboard paint (though I'm sure there are other methods....).

I decided to go ahead and make my own. Table leg and scrap wood from Home Depot, some left over CB paint from another project and 2 tap handle inserts.

$16 total for two handles.

We have a couple of different ones for beers we get, BUT...

MY FAVORITE ones are 2 Sam Adams handles... an "old" seasonal & the "New Seasonal" you see in use now.

The "new seasonal" is best in my opinion, because it doesn't say "Sam Adams" anywhere.
I like them because the top where the type of beer is, is just a card that slips in. (thus I can change it).
We make a "tap label" for our home brews & stick it in. If it's a commercial, we'll print or make a label for it.
The "old style" has Sam Adams VERY SMALL in script, so it's barely noticeable.

To do this right you really need a true dual purpose.

anything less than 800rnds wasn't worth getting the gun dirty.

I like it. Wonder how many people would get that joke in a bar.

I ended up making these chalk board handles for $6 a piece. They turned out pretty good I think, compared to the $40 store bought ones anyway. They are sitting on my new 525's.

I have some old piston rods from a 302 that I have been contemplating making tap handles out of.

Lol, my idea must be not very origonal

I have a 25mm bushmaster dummy and the 25mm dummy round from the apache
(steel case and projo vs aluminum case plastic head, and way lighter)

And a brass case practice projo 20mm vulcan, painted green (hop cannon)

And a brass .50bmg with a green tip,

Still need to find a way to cluster 762 and 5.56 to make a handle

How about using disintegrating links to make a circle, and then tacking the links? Weld a nut or handle or whatever in the center.
