I saw some post where guys build small cabinets with Styrofoam and use ice bottles to cool them but I was thinking a closet would be better. Line it with 2" foam, seal the joints with tuck tape, get a small window ac unit (100dollars or so) and then cut a hole in the door, or better yet, take the good door off, and just replace with a 25 hollow core door from lowes with ac hung in it. I bet it would keep in the mid 50s pretty easy.

I already have 2 fridges, 1 freezer and about to get a kegerator for my bar, but I have a couple extra closets. My basement is at a constant 72 in the summer and 65 or so in the winter.

I was thinking just build a big box out of foam, then just cut a hole on the top and sit the a/c unit on, but I just dont want a big ass pink box sitting in the basement.

thoughts?

I've seen people do this .. but I would honestly convert a cheap freezer or fridge with a temp controller. Mine works great and currently has 20 gallons fermenting in it (freezer conversion).
