Didn't see BLISS on the list.
Term used when moving about within enemy field of view.

B - Blend in with the surroundings.
L - Low in silhouette.
I - Irregular in shape.
S - Small in size.
S - Secluded.

No man who refuses to bear arms in defense of his nation can give a sound reason why he should be allowed to live in a free country. T. Roosevelt

What is a "COTS" 5.56 mm round? I have seen this used and tried to find out what this means without success.

What does COTS mean?

That would make sense. Talking about (I work with LEOs but I'm not one myself) SWAT warrant entries and the department rangemaster mentioned one of the officers seeing a suspect raising a shotgun into firing position and blasting him with his M-4. "And that guy was DRT" was the line he used.
So I think "Dead right there" would be a pretty safe guess.
Thanks

The animated fire icon means that a thread has many posts. You might say something is "hot" or "on fire" if it has a lot of activity associated with it.

is humor okay? All this acronym and shorthand reminded me of an old joke:

A guy goes to prison and on his first night after lights out, he hears another convict yell out "32!", and the whole cell block erupts in laughter. He hears another yell out "91!", and again, laughter. He asks his cellmate, "What's up with the numbers and laughing?". His cellmate replies, "We've all been in here so long that we know all the jokes by heart. It just saves time to give 'em a number and yell it out." The convict thinks, "I'll try it," and yells out "27!"; utter silence in the block. "What's the deal?', he asks his cell mate. "You told it wrong."

If by "idiot" you mean "subscribing to the Nazi ideals of the master Aryan race and genocide in support of those ideals", then you are correct. In some ways, your definition gets the point across in a very succinct manner.

What is the context? All I could come up with is "moderate bluish green" or "multiplayer online browser game", neither of which seem to have anything to do with AR15s.

I ask you also, what is the context? It might be "area of operations" or "aviation ordnanceman" or "adults only" or "acronym overload" ( ) or any number of other meanings.

I usually see it used to describe a place so I'm betting that where I'm seeing it, it's probably intended to mean "Area of Operations".

Thanks.

56K refers to 56K dial-up internet access. If a thread has lots of pictures or some really large pictures, it will take quite a while to load for those still using dial-up internet.

So, 56K friendly/Not 56K friendly is just a heads-up for those using dial-up about whether or not that particular thread will take a long time to load.

Well in my own experience BCG stood for Birth Control Glasses. They are the eye-glasses the military issues.

LBE = Load bearing equipment

BCG = Bolt Carrier Group. I thought for sure that was in the list, but it isn't. I'll have to add it.

LBE = Load Bearing Equipment - the vests and such that soldiers use to carry their load:

I thought I might see an "Oh snap!" as the context.

That is not an acronym. It is just a catch phrase. Look here for more information.

DIL- Direct Impingement Luddite

LW used this term to describe DI supporters (Luddite means one who opposes technological progress: from Nedd Ludd the English laborer who destroyed weaving machinery around 1779 because he thought the machinery would cause unemployment).

"Fudd" is a term of derision and should not be recklessly applied to all hunters as a group. While some hunters are Fudds and deserve our scorn if they cannot be educated to change their viewpoint, there are also many hunters who fully appreciate the true meaning of, and rights guaranteed by, the 2nd Amendment. These hunters are not Fudds, but rather our compatriots in the fight to protect the 2nd.

"Fudd" is not an acronym. It derives from the name of the clueless hunter character Elmer Fudd of Looney Tunes cartoon fame.
