Never bought any but want to. Who makes the best ones?
|

Screamin' Sicillian is really good. My favorite is Bessie's Revenge which is odd because I don't like cheese pizza. Freshetta is really good as well. If you have Krogers nearby, their brand of pizza is really good as well.
Frozen pizza hack: While the frozen pizza is still in the plastic wrapper, put both hands on opposite sides of the pizza and then break the pizza against the edge of the counter. You can get 4 slices this way and don't have to dirty up the pizza slicer or a knife. ETA: With the screamin sicillian you get a cardboard mustache that you can wear. It's fun. Wore it at work one day and everyone looked at me sideways but then laughed. |

California Pizza Kitchen has a couple frozen ones that are pretty good IMO

Screamin' Sicillian is my new go-to frozen pizza...LIKE A PIMP!

If you're not making your own, Costco's take and bake pies are damn decent. I suppose you could freeze them if you're not baking them that day.

I like the red baron personal sized ones, sometimes the french bread ones
|

I've found adding your own onions and peppers will improve frozen pizza but I would still rather have take-out any day.
I still have to have a Totino's Supreme once in a while. |
|
Tried a Screamin Sicilian over the weekend. Pretty good. Also love California Pizza Kitchen.

People hate on DiGournio because it's fashionable to do so, but they're pretty solid.

cheap= Jacks-- can get 5 for $10 here
favorites= lottza motza, Heggies (both may be local) |
|
Thanks for the replies.
I've taken notes and will check out what's available in this neck of the woods...small town in Illinois. Will get a few and add some of my own stuff and watch some college FB games the next two weeks. |

View Quote At least 87% of the time, when I want a frozen pizza, I'm too inebriated to be trusted with a pizza cutter, let alone to be bothered to wait for the dough to get with the program I like Freshetta, the square ones particularly. A closer approximation of thin crust pizza than most other frozen pizzas. Digiorno is alright too, a little bit too doughy imo. |
|
As much as I hate to admit it my favorite is Jack's Original Pepperoni.
I love it even after working in the factory for years and eating it nearly every day. |
|
In the make your own camp. Par bake the crust, top it, freeze it. Once frozen solid, wrap in tin foil & plastic wrap. Beats anything in the frozen food aisle.
|
|
I basically live on Ellio's Pizza lol, Its pretty good stuff and easy to make, but ive been eating it for a long time and never lets you down.
|
|
My favorites off the top of my head. For cheap, it's Jack's. For real cheap, it's Totinos.

Some of the digiorno pizzas are pretty good. We keep a couple in the freezer for busy or lazy nights.

Some of the digiorno pizzas are pretty good. View Quote I do have a couple of the small (personal) ones in the deep freeze. I usually cook them in the microwave for a eat on the run meal. Our microwave is an LG and it has the Tru Cook Plus feature that uses codes and tested cooking times and levels. It takes a little longer because it just doesn't microwave it on high for 2 minutes. It varies the power level though out the cook. http://truecookplus.com/ |

I like Tombstone and Red Baron, both for the money and taste. Although, neither are what they used to be, especially RB cutting down on size and amount of toppings. We just add some of our own toppings to customize.

I had my first one tonight - Screaming Sicilian, and loved it! Lots of meat and cheese and the sauce was really good.
Ding ding, one winner so far. |

Never bought any but want to. Who makes the best ones? View Quote Add your own toppings and they're all decent, just buy whatever is cheapest. I always put Slap Ya Mama (red can) and extra cheese, plus maybe Tabasco chipotle sauce, baked "slightly overcooked" when I could eat such things. |
|
I actually enjoy one of those Totino's little pizzas once in a while.
I put the frozen pizza on a plate, and microwave it! |

Build your own. Sauce, cheese, and fixin's of choice. Roll dough or just slice a brick of french bread down the middle.
Processed food sucks and is horrible for your health. You won't ever be able to eat enough rice cakes, kale, brie and tofu to make up for it. |

Sometimes I do a Tombstone/Red Baron/etc. pizza on the grill on my pizza stone, and it does good things for frozen pizza.

I had one of these last week. I cooked it on a wood pellet grill and it was awesome.
zero degrees outside this weekend so I'll cook it in the oven tonight. Tombstone Roadhouse |

Tried #2: California Pizza Kitchen
Result: No comparison. Screaming Sicilian wins hands down. Gotta head out soon and buy a few more to continue the test. |
