Made a batch last night using the CHOW.com recipe and added a can of rinsed, drained black beans.

I portioned off a third of it and to it added a diced Habanero...and got some chips...and suffered.

I am not a native Texan, but I have lived the majority of my life in Texas. Prior to this thread, I've never heard of "Texas Caviar" and I've never been to a function where anything similar to the above pic was served.

I've had it all my life, but never with corn.
