I use the ET-732 Maverick wireless thermometer set. I have 30 hrs on so far so good.
Now I made a stand and give a little air gap from the transmitter and the smoker. What were you using? |

I use the ET732 as well. I've had it for about um, a year now I think? Still works fine.
You gotta be kinda gingerly with the probes though. Don't submerge them to clean, and don't smash the leads in the lid or door of your smoker.

i had two of these and they were a waste

Smoker is a traeger BTW in case it matters. |

Yes, that would be the one.
I have a WSM and a Weber kettle. On the WSM, I cut a slot at the top edge where the body meets the lid for the probe to pass through, and on the kettle I just feed the lead up through one of the bottom vents. |

I have had my ET-372 for 2+ years and it has worked through rain, snow, sleet, and temps in the high teens (with lithium batteries) without issues. Heck I'm still using the original probes too.

I've been using the Maverick for a couple years now. I like it a lot. I'm on my second meat probe (I killed the original one with water while cleaning it), but it was well worth the money.

Maverick +1. About 30 hours on it, still runs fine. Like someone else who posted, I keep the transmitter about 1" off of the smoker.
