I never knew this Brother.  But as a former cop, he was tied to me by even stronger ties.

RIP Brother

Rest in peace brother. My prayers will be with the family and friends of officer Bashioum. There are some awfully big shoes that need to be filled with his passing.

BASHIOUM SCOTT L.

Age 52, of Washington, was tragically taken from this world on
Thursday, November 10, 2016, in the line of duty while protecting and
serving his community. He was born on January 27, 1964, at Upper St.

need. Scott was a mentor to many of his comrades throughout his years
of service to his county. He was an avid blood donor at the Local Blood
Bank. Even after his time here on earth, Scott was able to participate
in the Center for Organ Recovery and Education (CORE) program, as he was
an organ donor. Family and friends will be received Monday and Tuesday

For the local Brothers.... I drove by the funeral home today. There were hundreds of cars at 2:30.  The Dept of Transportation has lights set up as well as lighted signs directing traffic to alternate parking.  They are expecting thousands of people.
( not necessarily this evening, but in total )

There will be a Masonic service tonight. We are expecting a large turn out of Masons.

30th year on patrol this year.  Hardest ever to get motivated to work. My son a new MM wants to follow in my footsteps.  I never thought I would try to change his mind.

Officer Bashioum laid down the working tools of life, protecting those he served, an honorable and selfless act. My prayers to the brother and his family.  My heart goes out to his co-workers and Lodge Brothers.

Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God.

Thanks everyone for the thoughts and prayers. This past week was pretty tough for everyone, not just Brothers around here. Scott was in my district and a member of a lodge that I have many friends.  He was also pretty active in Lodge, a 27 year Air Force Veteran, a  volunteer fireman since the age of 18, assistant fire chief and active  at his church as well as within the community. He was always the guy who said yes if there was a need for helping someone else.
