Just finished up my 20th Degree Scottish Rite, What an amazing degree.

I was also invested in the 15th degree as the "Beggar". All of us partaking in  the degree work had a part to play in one degree or another.

Further light in  the degrees of Masonry.

If I wasn't so busy with York Rite, I would go Scottish Rite.

I actually missed a public degree last night, "The feast of the Paschal Lamb"

I wanted to go but I had too much work piled up around the house for me to do

Does your Valley spread out the degrees over time?  We have Reunion coming up this week and we'll do all of the degrees Th/Fr/Sa.

They do.

We did the 4th, 14th, 15th, 18th & 20th yesterday.

The nearest Valley to me is in Missoula, so I rode down Fri with the SGIG and PWGM of MT and we did degree work from 8.30 til 5.30.

In two weeks the 6 other Candidates and I receive the rest of the degree work. Apparently, over time, they vary which degree work a Candidate receives so that eventually, all degree work is done.

We did all 29 degrees a few years ago in 3 days at the request of our SGIG.  Brutal.

This year's schedule we will do 23 of the degrees and communicate the others.  The ones we communicate alternate between spring and fall reunions.

I am looking forward to this week.  I haven't been to a reunion in three years.  Attended my first Scottish Rite business meeting last week since I became a SR Mason (in 2005).

What degree do you open on to conduct business?

Our Commandery and Scottish Rite do a joint Feast of the Paschal Lamb and Easter Observance every year.
