I have a meeting setup next Friday with my local lodge leaders to petition for membership.

I am very excited about it. I have talked to the leaders on the phone and through email and I am happy to get the going. I have been thinking about petitioning for over a year and finally asked.

Is there any tips you can offer?
I don't know any masons personally. Will this be a issue?

Thanks in advance

Not an issue to not know anyone. Just be honest with all your answers if they accept your petition and move into investigation. Good luck!

Good luck! I was where you are at almost a year ago. Second best decision I ever made.

Just be yourself, if you are really seeking light, you'll do well

Just go to the meeting and be yourself, answer questions with honesty and ask them questions if you choose. They know you have questions, ask away.

You don't have to know any Masons. After a while you will have a bunch of new friends at that lodge, so give it time.

Might want to dress neat and clean.  When I meet new guys at our lodge, its business casual for me and although I give them no requirement on dress, the ones who are serious about it, usually dress appropriately.
