He is in the process of becoming "Regular" with a Lodge in his hometown.  There are 1000 Lodges in Cuba!  From what he told me, your Lodge meets every week.  Before you can be passed to the next Degree you must attend your Lodge a minimum of 40 times in a calendar year as well make 20 visits to a Lodge (Lodges) other than your own on top of the other required work.

I like the idea of requiring candidates to attend and visit other lodges before moving up.  Too many take the privilege of meeting good men for granted.
