The purpose of fighting is to win. There is no possible victory in
defense. The sword is more important than the shield, and skill is more
important than either. The final weapon is the brain. All else is
supplemental.

Voted open forum, public icon.

The Freemason Network provides a restricted forum for discussion that should stay within the Brethren.

Voted "open forum, public icon". Any Brother that wishes to conceal their involvement (I don't understand why) can do so by simply not getting the icon. By keeping the forum public we invite people to ask about Masonry. By displaying Icons we remind ourselves to act accordingly in our posts and show the rest of the forum that we are men of morals and integrity.

TBS I'm listed as an E-Mason on the Grand Lodge of Alabama's website, will you need further proof?

thats proof enough for me. you don't get that without the grand lodge vetting you.

Sweet, S&C w/ or w/o G? I say with the G and the Brothers that are opposed to the first meaning can accept it as the second.

I'll IM you with my real name to vet me on E-Masons.

I voted open forum, public icon.

Not sure what this e-masons thing is but I don't think Utah participates. I can send a scan of my dues card to you if needed. I'll volunteer to help verify if you need.

Grand Lodge of Alabama has a voluntary E-Mason listing. If you sign up other Masons can search for you by name or lodge and find your contact info based on what you allow to be revealed. It also allows access to our Grand Lodge forum. To be listed on the E-Mason listing means the Grand Lodge has vetted you. I know that any Brother on the listing is a Mason in good standing.

The reason I rarely post here is I don't feel like discussing the craft with non-brethren... Or at least certain issues. There are public discussions that can be had in GD, but a private forum would be nice.

What will we discuss in a private forum?
What can't we discuss in a public forum?

thats kinda my thing. being we may have people some lodges consider clandestine here as masonic members nothing "secure" should be discussed here anyway even if it was a private forum.
