I just finished a book "Dead City" by Joe McKinney about a San Antonio cop and his fight for survival and struggle to reach his family as the city is consumed by zombies. I was sceptical at first but the book turned out to be a page turner.
Non stop zombie action, fighting and decent, accurate gun play. I highly reccomend it. |

Just finished watching an indy film PontyPool, a little different take on Zombies but very cool. It takes place with three people in a radio station that are reporting on the beginings of a zombie invasion, as it comes to their front door. High quality and not cheezy. Check it out.

has any one played the zombie mods for operation flash point? you set the game up how ever you. lots of zombies going agianst a small delta team is very fun, and if you put to many zombies in add air support from a a a10 or cobra or a black hawk door gun.

Man Vs. Zombies is the ongoing saga of Gus, a man who appears to exist in an alternate world where a supernatural zombie apocalypse has occurred, and his only means of communication appears to be twitter. Gus is revealed to be a slacker with a penchant for drug use and a hilariously twisted sense of humor. He traverses his hometown of Miami, witnessing bizarre supernatural occurrences while avoiding detection by the zombified population. Gus tweets his discoveries as well as his thoughts, adventures, and random thoughts throughout the day. The reader, it seems, has no way to get in touch with Gus, leaving him isolated as the reader can only observe.
One of the features that makes @manvszombies especially unique and engaging is the fact that the story is supported by photographs and videos of what Gus finds in his travels, giving an extra sense of reality to an already unusual take on the zombie genre. It would seem we are witnessing something original being created here with Man Vs. Zombies. It’s nice to see that someone out there is using social networking for something truly creative. I have found out it's not really a zombie movie so much but something else. If you can find REC 2 you will see. Kinda disappointed me alittle, but something new isn't so bad either. We will see.

Even though I was actively looking for an infected person, I still used the sneak and peek approach. I didn’t want to mix it up with more than one for now, so I searched for that one victim to find out the effectiveness of the motorcycle clothes. I didn’t have to search far. He’s name was Manny according to the nametag on his filthy and tattered Metro Rail uniform, and I wondered if he was an engineer. Had he been on his way to work, or on his way home? It didn’t really matter and I seldom thought of those things when I figured I might have to kill a zombie, why humanize them? It only made the killing harder, I guess that’s why we had never referred to them as people; they were the ‘infected’, or the ‘zombies’. I was hidden behind a low mound of rubble as I waited, I didn’t want to reveal myself until I was sure he was alone. When he was about thirty feet away I stood up and stepped into the road in front of him and he did exactly what I thought he would do; he broke into a run straight at me. With the tomahawk in my right hand, I did the same and we crashed together, my left shoulder impacted his chest and I felt his head impact the helmet, his teeth sliding down its smooth surface as he attempted to bite me. I grabbed the front of his shirt near his chin and pushed him back to arm’s length while he tried to duck his head down and sink his teeth into my forearm, but the heavy leather of the jacket thwarted his ravenous hunger. I brought the tomahawk down in a powerful overhand blow sinking the blade deeply into the left side of his exposed neck. He began to violently thrash about, but he wouldn’t release the tight grip on my forearm. Working the blade loose from his neck, I raised it again, but spun it in my hand bringing the spike down onto the side of his head. It skipped off digging a deep furrow through the flesh and embedded in his shoulder; I jerked it free again and slammed the point in to the handle, deep inside his skull. His body went rigid, then collapsed to the ground wrenching the grip of the tomahawk from my grasp. I bent quickly and tried to pull it out, but the skull was holding the arrowhead shape of the point and wouldn’t relinquish it, so I violently twisted the weapon and finally it broke free with shards of bone mixed with the hair. I stood up and quickly looked about, it was a clear mid-spring morning with the sun warming the day, with white clouds drifting through the blue sky on their way to the east. It would have been the perfect day to take your children, or your dog to the park to run in the cut grass. Instead, I stood over a man with a bloodied tomahawk in my shaking hand, my breath rapid and ragged, a month ago I would have smiled and nodded to him as we passed on the street, today he lay brutally butchered at my feet. I crouched to wipe the blood and bone fragments on his shirt and caught movement in the corner of my eye. I spun on the balls of my feet and stared into my reflection in a large plate glass window of someone’s destroyed home. I wiped off the tomahawk and returned it to the sheath hanging from my web gear and then walked to the window to stare at my image. It was the first time I had seen what I looked like in helmet, veil and motorcycle clothes, with my web gear, the tomahawk, and the Carbine. Something had been happening to me since the earthquake, the fear I had known was being replaced by hate for the infected. Now it wasn’t fear, which caused me to shake, it was adrenaline; it was the thrill of the hunt and the rush of victory. Somewhere deep inside of me the last flickering flame of compassion was snuffed out. I was dressed to kill, and the fear I had known before was hidden behind a veil of darkness. Like I said, I really would appreciate any comments. |

Been readin' a fair amount of 'em while I've been down. I agree, look for the ones with high word count. And I definitely recommend lookin' for the ones that are COMPLETE. Sucks to get hooked on one that you realize hasn't been updated for 6 months. |

I'll follow ERG80's layout seemed simple for me to follow: but ill grab the descriptions from the page because im lazy (and geez this took some time) Most all of these are from Zombie Shooting Games because it's alot easier to go through the games than most sites where you have to dig and dig SAS Zombie Assault - SAS: Zombie Assault is all about surviving against waves of undead monsters. Earn money to upgrade your defenses and your guns. As levels progress, the waves of zombies become harder and harder to repel. Can you make it through all twenty gruelling waves of zombie assault? SAS Zombie Assault 2 - After successfully completing the first mission, our hero is now sent to an abandoned military camp, again overrun with Zombies. With more firepower, ranks and skills to unlock this time you should have no problems... Zombie Slayer - A side-scrolling zombie shooter with a neat physics engine. Lots of weapons, blood, and cool physics effects. Ragdoll Zombie Slayer - One man alone against the raving hordes of zombies. They come crawling, running and jumping, all you have got to do is load your shotgun and blast them to pieces! Zombie Avenger - Thousands of zombies are walking in your town. Nobody survived. you should leave the town, find the sourse of walking dead in the suburbs and eliminate it. Zombie Hooker Nightmare - THIS IS FUNNY - Zombie Hookers are bad for business time to bust up them hos and collect your money by saving your trench coat customers in more that one way. Class 3 Outbreak This is kinda cool - An RTS zombie game running on Google Maps. Keep the zombie infection under control with a limited police force, squash any outbreaks that appear and keep the zombie threat level at Class 1 for as long as possible. The Breach This one is pretty badass - Since its arrival in the Orbit of G-54 the Hermes, a prototype Starship did not answer any communication nor did it give any sign of life. As the head of security of G-54 it is Sergei’s job to go aboard the Hermes to see what is happening .What kind of horror Sergei will encounter aboard the Hermes!?! Resident Evil: Degeneration question.
Is this movie basically a CGI animation? I saw a copy at Big Lots, but the "photos" all looked like video game screen shots. And Milla was not listed as an actor. Thx. Paladin (the old clueless dude!) |

Been listening to a lot of audio books on my long commute.
Found these at local library: Patient Zero Pride and Prejudice and Zombies (thats a fun blasphemy on the original Jane Austen epic novel I was forced to read by a sadistic professor) it has its great moments. Library also had WWZ, but it has ben added to the book list. |

If you guys like zombie books, I highly recommend The Dead by Mark E. Rogers. I've read several and this is my personal favorite. It's definitely a twist on the zombie genre with some religion mixed in. Basically, it's the end of the world and some people simply start disappearing (the rapture) and others are made to suffer as angels from Hell are allowed to descend unto the earth by assuming the bodies of the deceased, while the earth begins to waste away and the sun is rotting in the sky. These aren't brain-munching zombies either. These are torturous, maniacal zombies. It's a very good read that will keep you on the edge of your seat.

I just finished Joe McKinney's "Flesh Eaters". I thought it was pretty good. If you've read his first 2 book "Dead City" and "Apocalype of The Dead" then you should definitely pick this one up.

If you havent read the As the World dies trilogy I would highly recommend it. After I realized I wasnt going to see another ZA Recht book I went out looking for another author and found Rhiannon Frater. I was leary at first because she normally writes vampire books, but this series RULES!!!! I would LOVE it if they would contact her to finish up the Morningstar series for ZA's final book.
