ITT: We talk about the derp on the show.
>Rick holding the revolver all fucky >"lord of the flies" power struggles >Carol and Rick being all "hardened" survivors, and encountering the "noobies" I'm sure we could get this thread really going. |

View Quote There's some good stuff with the show, but also bad stuff. It seems like there's a stretch of good episodes and then a stretch of bad episodes. Some characters are pretty good, like Herschel, Merle, and Dale, while others don't seem to be developed right, like Carol and Carl. |

Season 2 (the farm) was the worst. I figure that if I made it through that, I should be able to go the distance with the series.

- An apparent unlimited supply of .357mag/38spl
- Every rifle is full-auto like they're just lying around - Novice shooters making headshots on moving targets, while on the run - No mention of running out of TP - Maggie is ready to run off on an adventure without ever asking where her sister is - They were going to check out Terminus before going in. They watched the place for 5 damn minutes - In the first season, one of the deputies thumbs the safety on his Glock, with an audible click no less - They still haven't figured out the buddy system |

They just changed it to 44 mag in the new season. View Quote Nope. There was a .44 in the buried bag as well, one taken from the "Claimers" IIRC. Rick was listing the contents of the bag to Gareth (including the great red-handled machete line) and didn't specifically refer to his pet Python that I recall. They make plenty of technical errors on the show without us having to invent any. |

Haha FIELD MP, I forgot about the Glock with the safety. That was something like 3 minutes into the first episode. Off to a bad start.
Also I think Andrea's sister Amy makes it very clear in the first season that there is no more toilet paper. It was her dying words, "Were out of toilet paper? AHHHHH Owwwww!" Off topic I think there is a scene in the Sopranos where these kids highjack a truck, someone drops a Glock and it fires killing the driver. I think Tony Soprano had a good product liability case going. He should have sued Glock |

They have no discpline with the flashlight use.
I guess somebody picked up some eneloop batteries and a solar charger before the zombies came. I also liked the scene in the church with about 100 lit candles. Seems a bit wasteful when you may soon run out

Pretty satisfied with this season thus far.
Yeah, I could dwell on a lot of things they mess up on the show, but I view it as entertainment and not a documentary piece. |
|
There have been a lot worse technical errors committed. Most derpy firearm stuff in the show is weapons without sights(an AR in season 3 comes to mind and Daryl's xbow) and the obsession with cross body Calvary carry

When they hit the flooded basement food bank, not one comment about how badly they would have smelled after that. Not to mention ingesting any of that water would have made then all sick.
Carol and Tyreese filling bottles of water from a brown creek. No one filtered or boiled water. I did see them scoop a can full of water from a toilet tank and set it on a makeshift fire. So maybe someone called them out on the lack demonstrating basic sanitary precautions. |

I am quickly losing interest in this show. I have it up last season. Too much soap opera crapola. The season 5 premiere was good. Yeah it looked like they were gonna pick up the pace a little. THEN.... The tactical errors, the poor decisions, the dumb mistakes........... How have these dipshits survived this long? |

They have run into two other large organized groups of people up to this point in the show. 1) Was a group of people who destroyed their sanctuary and beheaded on of their members, and 2) was a group of cannibals.
Yet, when faced with a group they know presses people into slavery against their will Rick thinks that he can do a trade with them? That they're going to be reasonable despite the fact that the other two groups were unreasonable? Rick just doesn't learn. Then they take three police officers and they don't take their body armor off. They don't gag and bag them. They don't even interrogate them that hard. |

You have to have "voluntary suspension of disbelief" as w/ most Sci-fi

I knew something was gonna be messed up when in Episode 1, he never bothered to get dressed or even put on shoes at the hospital. He was supposed to be an LEO .....when you see bodies stacked up in the streets and you don't look for your sidearm.....or....you walk when there are abandoned vehicles everywhere.....with dead bodies.....you deserve to get hit in the head with a bat like he did....

I understand that budget restriction prevent them from doing huge action sequences and I do like character and plot development. However, stretching a character's death out through the whole episode seems a bit much.

I am quickly losing interest in this show. This Since Beth died I have been kind of disinterested... They should have kept her alive longer. No one else matters now... They should have killed her and Cutty differently. Beth couldn't have committed suicide by cop--the writers forced it to advance the plot. If you see characters doing stuff they normally shouldn't or couldn't do, then it's a sign of bad writing. Also the whole thing with Cutty dying was absolutely retarded. He lost his girlfriend in the prison, he dealt with all that gravitas of the man in the shed with babby, and all of that gravitas from Terminus. However, he isn't able to catch up with a guy, who has a broken leg--despite being in perfect health. And, he gets all emotional and completely drops his guard over a photo of a guy, whom he knew for well under a month, with his younger brothers. To think he survived 2 years of a zombie apocalypse. |

A kids bite to the forearm took him down. Immediate hallucinations & massive blood loss? At least that pussy is gone now. All of the chicks on the show had more balls them him even Lizzie & Mika. Was so tired of him. But now we got Noah who has been a detriment from the start.
Worst episode yet. |
