Costa was 50% of Magpul Dynamics (and the Art of the Tactical _____  DVDs) back in their hay day.

He has a lot of haters and a lot of fanboys, but he helped bring tactical training into the mainstream, as far as gun forums and "gun life" goes.

I've heard of the videos. Never seen em' though.

It takes more courage to assume the risks and speak before a crowd than it does to heckle from the relative safety of the group (or the internet).  Good for him for sticking his head out

Is this the Movie Version of world war Z.

If I recall right, the movie rights to the book were bought. However the movie wasn't going to be even close to the book..

Nope, if there is money to be made, it will prevail.

Plus I think that the whole "zombie" has sparked interest in firearm and new gun owners whole otherwise wouldn't have ever been one.
Some might see it as attracting the "wrong" crowd, but more people exercising their legal right is fine by me.

This. I still think people who play the "what if" game with their wallets are people who understand that things can go to hell in an instant, be it the Rodney King riots or Katrina.

Zombies represent uncontrolled chaos in the downfall of society. They just do it in a way that's "safe" and doesn't point the finger at a race or nationality.

You mean beard out?

I used to hate on him, but after watching more of his stuff......he's just a regular funny ass dude that likes guns like the rest of us.

Big +1.
Might just be my experience, but I've noticed if people figure out I prep and ask why,I get funny looks and comments if I say for emergencies or disasters. When I've said it's for the Zombie Apocalypse they just nod and laugh like it's no big deal.My theory is that it seems more "reasonable" than some of the people they show on the NatGeo prepper show, YMMV.

because prepping for a coronal mass ejection or nuclear war is retarted... prepping for zombies... now everyone can relate to that.  Though one of my favorite prepper episodes the chick basically said she would sell her body to survive. who needs food and water when you got TnA

OH and my wife ordered me Vol 1 on Operation Z for my Bday should be here next week

I remember that episode. IIRC, she found a thread here about herself and started posting.
