Any Zombie book by Joe Mckinney . Go to Amazon and pick them up. Cheaper than B&N or other book store.

Not like they hire locals, pay local taxes and support the local economy. Not saying I dont shop online, but I always give local business my attention first if possible. Back on Topic: Ones I have been reading recently are White Flag of the Dead, a series of 4 as of now by Mark Tufo. Good reads. |

Its broken up into little bites but is real hard to put down! You will likely burn thru thus one in a day or two of continous reading because it is sooo good and fast paced. |

Zombie Fallout is my favorite. Second place is Day by Day Armageddon and #3 is due by the end of the year.

Borders was the best and are now closed unfortunately. Used to shop there alot. B&N has a pretty lame Zombie / Horror section and really push the nook now. Cant even get ZA Rechts last book in the B&N store. Only through the nook or online shopping. So save the preaching for another thread and just focus on what the op asked for. GOOD ZOMBIE BOOKS |

Not quite a 'book' but read "Adrian's Undead Diary" online. Grammar Nazi's will hate it, but it is written like you or I wrote it, if that makes any sense.
I hate to admit it, but I like it better than "Day by Day Armageddon." |

Ditto there. Two B&Ns had NONE of the authors mentioned here. Their horror was mixed in with Sci FI/Fantasy now. As well as three Half-Price Books, zero zombie authors.
The last one actually had one shelf with zombie authors...Found Brook's survival guide and the first two of Recht's. Guess I'll have to Amazon the rest. Itunes for audio books are like $25 each! thanks to everyone for suggestions...

I enjoyed the David Wellington "Monster" series (sort of supernatural zombies with a twist, protagonists are the undead) All three are available online in blog form, and probably to buy on paper by now.
Also the "Autumn" series by David Moody is good. The first book is WAAY better than the movie made about it, and the second and third have some hard core awesomeness. |

World War Z is garbage. Save your money and check it out at the library if you insist on reading it.

Has anyone else read the Return Man? I thought it was great. My local B&N has a Zombie Lady and she insisted I buy it.

I'm half way through the 2nd book. Good stuff. The English twist is a bit different. |

a sample to an ipad or itouch for free from itunes. Some of the electronic versions are inexpensive on itunes. The LZR book and Return Man read great so far IMHO |

I guess I'm the only one who really had a hard time with Patient Zero. Mostly it's Joe Ledger, the main character, I have a problem with. He comes off as being so badass that to me it feels over the top fake.
