The Beta-Cs can run fine on a clean range.

However they start to have issues when things get dusty/dirty. The Army keeps trying them/testing them and they still don't measure up.

We used to have an article posted up in AR Disucssions a few years back from a 101st newsletter talking about it and how they were not approved for use for that reason.

A bummer.

Still I'd love to have a Colt 'Automatic Rifle' clone with one just for kicks.

ETA: the above is the Danish issue Colt Automatic Rifle as produced by Diamaco in Canada.

MIne's just painted on in Alumahyde 2. I masked the whole stock, drew it on, cut it out and painted it.

The reason for me is also the same as the other poster said, opsec. When you shoulder the rifle you turn into a fine gentleman and nobody could recognize you. Plus moustaches are cool.

I have 5 or 6 75rd AK drums and they work great
I also have 2 beta mags 100rds each and they work great also

then there is
THIS 150rd AR DRUM

I have seen these shot on FA at the range and the work

You cant beat a 150rd AR15 mag unless you go belt fed
