It was reported in one of the original Miami cannibal stories that bath salts were imported from China.Some other stories are linking China and Europe:zombie apocalypse,411 on bath salts.I'm sure the descendants of the Great Khans armies,who invented germ warfare by launching infected corpses over city fortifications to infect the population,would never think of such an efficient and effective tactic.
Older article, but seems legislation was being held up:usa today,bath salt legislation.Honestly, I support the legalization of pot, but this shit causes complete psychotic breaks with cannibalistic side effects.It literally has side effects that are something out of a horror movie.Clamp down on it already. |

Of course this begs the question: why in hell did it take so long, but better late than never. I've seen articles written on how Z Day would be a bust because of various factors, but considering how slowwwww people can be to react, I still think it's a possibility. |

Good point, and considering how behind the curve the authorities seem to be on drugs in general, a valid one.
If it isn't bath salts it raises the question why are so many of these attacks so similar.My guess would be typical media focus on sensationalism.Or Z Day is here  . |

With this being a major headline and the press following this type of story, amybe we do have something else here that isnt being told. K2 is synthetic mary jane in the form of incense, and, I have heard of people going crazy from it. Most of what I have seen is it knocks people flat on their asses.
K2 has been in my area for at least a year, didnt see or hear about the 'salt until the time K2 got real big. I heard a radio DJ talking about all of this weird crap happening with the drugs, and I think he summed it up well; The drugs dont nec. make you crazy, they just take crazy people (or those who could be crazy) to their very edge and put them at the end of (that) rope. And that is a very realistic POV regarding all of this. My take on it, from my tenure on the streets, is that drugs effect people in different ways; a prime example of this is the dif between Keith Richards and Ozzy. Both have done the veritable $hitton of dope in their life; Keith is still very functional, but Ozzy walks around like an old man. While one set of drugs destroyed a person, the other was preserved by it. This view ties in very closely to that of the DJ. The only real difference here though is, while crack, meth, LSD can cause people to do some stupid things, I have never known any of these to give people true superhuman strength and severe pain tolerance. PCP and bathsalts, on the other hand, do just that and edge that psychotic break. The real challenge is trying to deal with these people and get them medical attention ( I can already sense the hurt em, jail em thought process in your head) because that is what they will need unfortunately. |

Damn good summation.When I was a stupid kid we did a lot of LSD.After seeing a few bad trips, we got a feel for who was OK and who needed to avoid it like the plague.An old Mexican gang banger warned us about PCP.Said he had seen too many people not come back from it,and his own experience was pretty nightmarish(out of body death trip/hallucination). I admit my gut reaction is hurt 'em,jail 'em.But that's not practical or realistic.Treating them like rowdy drunks is not going to solve anything, just complicate things further. |
