Got up last night to get something to drink and looked outside to check on my pup when I hear a rustling and then a god awful scream followed by Ruger chasing down an unknown animal.  At first I thought it was a lizard as I couldnt see it well but after the screaming continued and her not relenting I put on some shower shoes and went outside.  I have never seen one of these fat bastards outside of a farm or industrial area, he was approximately 5-7in long before the tail and pissed, I am pretty sure she broke its leg and was fucking with it because all it could do is hobble and was trying to climb a tree.  Locked her inside for the rest of the night which means I didnt get much sleep as she hates to be inside at night and kept nuzzling me to open the door, but I wasnt going to risk her getting ahold of it again.

I did want to ask also is there anything I should be immediately concerned with, she is up to date on rabies but I know these things can have much worse.

I would give her a good dose of flea powder, RFN, and take a really good shower.

She is on pill based flea prevention to kill and dissuade fleas, the rest is cleared up and no direct contact with the vermin occurred.
