Cisco.
He adopted my roommate a year or so ago.  He's the downstairs bark-o-matic
He suffered through many years of neglect at the hands of another roommate.
My roomie and I started walking him, taking him to the groomer and vet.
He's turned out to be a wonderfully dorky dog.

Miss Maddie.  The new "Princess of the Upstairs"
She adopted me at a Seattle Humane Society adoption event last Saturday.
She's a real sweet cat.  Spends most of her time sitting on my chest purrrrrring.

This is Ike, he's a Gordon Setter who thinks he is a wiener dog.  When we got him we had a 3 year old two 1 year old weiner dogs.  For a while they were all close to the same size so they got along great and played.  Now he is big and he still trys to play, but their poor little legs just can't keep up with him, and his toys are almost as big as they are .  He's the goofiest dog Ive ever seen but he's a softy, he knows if he upsets you and he makes sure to make it right.  Really wish I would have had the chance to hunt with him,  I left for college a year after we got him so I never really got to work with him.

This is Charlie. He is dumber than a box of rocks, and he don't give a shit about anything other than foods and bellyrubs.

He likes to sit on my lap and snore like a pig while I read.

His favorite thing in the world is a crappy walmart sack. So much for all the expensive cat toys I buy him.

After having to say goodbye to one our cats a couple weeks back our place felt a little empty so we went to a local shelter and adopted this little girl last weekend. She's adjusting to her new home more and more each day after being in the shelter for 3 months. We named her Lilu. I had to give in on the name spelling, but to me she'll be Leeloo Dallas Multipass.

Couldn't ask for a better dog........well maybe if she didn't always try to get into the garbage.

My new best friend, he is the absolutely most loyal dog I have ever owned. I adopted him this past July, from a shelter.  As hard as It would be, I decided to adopt a senior dog and he was listed as 8 but turned out to be 9 (I don't know how they missed it since it was in the medical records they gave me) But he shows no signs of his senior status, and acts like a puppy. Since he is a mix of GS, Belgian mali and Yellow lab, I'm praying he wont develop any Hip problems.

My wife's Pitt who is the most sweet and goofy dog you will ever meet.

TLDR: Adopt.

My current Pits from our little photo shoot this afternoon; breaking in the new camera. Found the brown one (Ellie) on the streets nearly dead a few years ago and recently adopted the black one (Murphy) from a rescue:

This is Daisy. (she likes to eat flowers!)
Someone dumped her in a tree farm about a mile from my house. She was scared to death. It took me 3 trips, and almost 3 hours to get her to come to me.
She has been stuck to my hip ever since.

Daisy won't stay out of the water.  Back in March, she'd been splashing around in this same pool for about 2 min when an otter popped out of the brush where I was standing in this shot and slid into the pool.  There there was a "WTF!!" moment for the otter when it realized he wasn't swimming in a 15' long pool with another otter.  Dove under that bank where the dog is in this shot.  I was standing on those roots and got to hear an otter growling away right under my feet.

Infrared shot of the world's blackest dog.
