THE IMAGE ABOVE IS A PAID ADVERTISEMENT Anybody ever run into similar issues? The not eating thing is what is bothering me most. I can tell he doesn't feel well, but he usually lives to eat. Any ideas? |

Ask your vet what signs to watch for that would tell you to take them in right away, but other than those... sometimes they just have a stomach bug, and need time to get over it.
Earlier this year, my dogs both went through a similar thing, they didn't eat for three days, then eased back into eating slowly over a couple of more days. Like yours, no signs of anything overtly wrong, kept an eye on them, they got better. |

This is pretty much what I figured, but wanted to see if anyone had been through anything similar. Thanks.

My dog had Giardiasis a couple of months ago. Vomited until empty, had scary bloody diarrhea for three days and wouldn't eat or drink for week. Had to go to the vet twice for IV fluids.
If he's not drinking, make sure you get back to the vet for IV fluids. Don't let him get dehydrated. |

I've had one go a full 5 days without food. It was crazy and I wasn't sure how long one could go without eating.
