I will express full confidence in O_P that if he says he was a good and deserving man, that Tman was just that. There are just so few treasures in this life like a good friend, and I mourn for your loss and his passing. Take comfort in the fact that you had the pleasure to spend time in his company and enjoy the comradery that only a good friend can give.

There comes along in most everybody's life a person that you can really talk with. And your relationship with them becomes one long conversation. When apart, the conversation pauses, but when together again, the conversation resumes as though without ever pausing. The conversation can be about nothing or of the gravest subjects, but it is always deep and meaningful. Most don't understand that these conversations can last a life time, the real ones do. And most don't understand that there is seldom more than one of these in your life.

Old Painless and T-Man seemed to have had that kind of relationship. I think Old Painless understands the rare value of such a thing. I offer my sympathy for your loss. Having been there myself, I've come to understand that I may spend the rest of my life looking for some one to strike up my life-long conversation with again and in so understanding that, realize how rare and precious a thing it was.
