Good grief! Kids bounce back amazingly well. Much more so than us older folks. Glad to hear you're going to with us a while longer.

Yesterday my son was talking about a special book that Heather had left him on her last Christmas which has some special messages for him written inside. He was only two at the time, so I put it away and shared it with him recently, as I felt he could better comprehend what was written. Yesterday he said to me, "Dad, that was the only time I ever saw you cry. Grown-ups cry sometimes, don't they?"
Yeah, I guess we do. He's eight now, and he has become tough, yet kind, and smart. He stands tall, and knows what's right and what's wrong. Some of the things he says are pretty surprising. Is there a minimum age limit for an ARFCOM account? |

My beautiful friend, Ginger...you are missed.
I think of you often, particularly now since receiving my own cancer diagnosis. I thought of you when I was first told and again when I had to get chemo for the first time...I whispered your words as I walked thru the door..."Puttin' on my big girl panties, and dealing!" We never met...but you made an impact on me, darlin'. Your strength helps me thru! XXOO |
