Heartbreaking funeral. Tough to see Johns partner describe his last moments. After taking out the suspect John was able to talk and asked his partner to tell his family he loved them all.

This, I lost it when they brought him in this morning and wheeled him past me. It was a good but heartbreaking service.

When I heard them call his last call on the radio, was the worst part for me.

Rest in peace John. You will be missed here.

I got on the feed right at the end of Amazing Grace with the bagpipes, sad and then they did the "Last Call" over the radio and I just shook my head at how sad this service was

What damn near killed me though was when the camera panned to the casket, then panned right and John's son was sitting in a chair, John's son had his drooped down and was crying

So if I read this correctly Hobbs was not wearing a vest ?

I don't want to start a big discussion here about this but I was wondering when this happened . If a mod needs to delete this then please do

It's public info at this point.  They were conducting surveillance, with no intention of apprehending the subject at that point.  They were "under cover" and vests sort of give that away.  The subject realized he was being surveilled, tried to run and crashed.  At that point, they decided to get involved.  They pulled up and the guy started shooting before they even exited their vehicle.

Correct.  From what I've heard first hand, it went from a surveillance to a take-down in minutes.
