Not sure yet. Though I can say that many members, especially me, discovered with news of his death that he was a much better person in real life than we thought him to be. He obviously had demons and they got him.

Away from the internet and booze he was a good guy. Absolutely pleasant when I met up with him once, and fun to talk with.

Best wishes to his family

RIP fammy, we'll miss you.

You never said one word to me that was unkind. I'll keep your family in my prayers.

I hope you are enjoying a nice smooth scotch, and a robust cigar right now.

I just came here poking around after I saw the "I miss Fammy" thread, I hadn't heard about this.

That's a real shame.

I never knew Fammyman very well but while I was in Iraq he sent me a package with some cigars. It was uplifting to receive such a gift from someone I never met. I still have one of the cigars he sent to me in my humidor that I keep as a reminder of his generosity. His messages were always kind and I am grateful to have heard from him.

I didn't know Gordon, but I remember reading his posts. And I remember reading in the thread advising of his passing that he had adopted children with special needs. I remember thinking "that is the kind of man the world needs more of". It was a shock that someone with such a generous heart would take their own life. But everyone faces their struggles differently.

Gordon I hope you have found the peace that you couldn't find in this world. I will say a prayer for the wife and children you left behind. RIP sir.
